Kayla is delighted to return to the Super Summer Theatre stage, having previously appeared as Mabel in the 2018 production of The Pirates of Penzance. Known for her “over-the-top coloratura” (TalkinBroadway) and “phenomenal voice [and] striking performances” (NW Theatre), soprano Kayla Wilkens’ exciting 2021-2022 season included the premiere of the World War Two musical We’ll Meet Again at The Savannah Theater as Millie O’Brien, The Threepenny Opera with Vegas City Opera as Polly Peachum, Opera Las Vegas’ production of Proving Up as Littler Zegler, and Mondays Dark! concerts featuring the music of ABBA and Sondheim. Her 2020-2021 season included The Ghosts of Gatsby with Opera Las Vegas as young Zelda Fitzgerald, The Güt Life with Blue Gate Musicals in Kentucky, and Sahfee in Diary of a Madman with Lowbrow Opera in Seattle. Regional roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast,Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Janet Van De Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone, Cosette in Les Miserables, Adele Rice in A Man Of No Importance, Julie Jordan in Carousel, Beth in Little Women, and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. Opera News stated Marshall Morrow “tall, thin and hilariously snooty, showed real comic skill” (Isouard’s Cendrillon). Marshall Morrow a Filipino-American Baritone from Las Vegas, Nevada has recently performed Tiger Brown in Three Penny Opera with Vegas City Opera and Sciarrone in Las Vegas Opera’s production of Tosca. Marshall has also performed Schaunard in Vegas City Opera’s La Boheme and Ben in The Telephone with Super Summer Theatre. Along with Tom/John (The Face on the Barroom Floor), The Pirate King (Pirate of Penzance), Corporal and Sulpice (Daughter of the Regiment), Escamillo (Carmen), Marcello (La Bohéme in Concert), Gamekeeper (Cunning Little Vixen), Father (Hansel and Gretel) Ben (Old Maid and the Thief), and Papageno (The Magic Flute). Previously Marshall performed the role of Rambaldo in La Rondine as a Young Artist at Lidal North in Oslo, Norway. His roles include Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola, Dandini in Isouard's Cendrillon and the summer of 2017, Marshall performed the role of Le Surintendant des plaisirs in Massenet's Cendrillon the role title of Don Giovanni at Trentino Music Festival. Other performance credits include the role of Miton in the U.S. premiere of Delibes' Le Roi L'a Dit. Marshall performed and created the role of Gregory in a workshop of Vera by Matthew Barnson in collaboration with American Opera Project. Marshall has sung with the New York Philharmonic under the baton of Alan Gilbert.
Jadah-Cheri is 20 years old and was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and lives in Las Vegas. She was educated by the Las Vegas Academy of Arts (LVA), appearing in The Little Mermaid as Ursula. She also appeared in Las Vegas Little Theatre (LVLT) Musical Theatre Cabarets. She is making her debut with Vegas City Opera and Super Summer Theatre in this show. She is currently a working entertainer on the strip as a dutchess in All Motown at the Alexis Park Resort.
From a young age, Gina Kirk always knew her life would revolve around singing and this it was no surprise that received her Bachelor's Degree from BYU-Hawaii in vocal Performance. She has used her natural and acquired talents while acting on stage in shows like, My Fair Lady, Godspell, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. More recently, she appeared in Hello Dolly as Ernestina Money and was understudy to Irene Malloy. Thrilled now to work with the Vegas City Opera and add the classic, Cinderella, to her repertoire! Gina's love extends to teaching yoga, piano and voice. She has developed her own personalized technique using yoga and vocal training together. A native of Columbus, Ohio, (Go Buckeyes!) she currently lives in Summerlin with her husband, Matthew and 9-year olds twins
Mady is so excited to be in her first SST production as Gabrielle in Cinderella! Mady grew up in the San Fernando Valley where she has many cherished memories on stage in musical theater, and choir. After finishing her BA in Psychology and Theater at Wagner College in NY, she pursued a career in education and performing arts! Las Vegas is the perfect new home for Mady. When she is not on stage you can find her teaching theater and choir at The Alexander Dawson School, bowling with her awesome husband, or hiking, camping and fishing! April Sauline is actually reprising her step sister role; she portrayed Portia in the original version of Cinderella during her senior year of high school, and she is grateful to Skip and Vegas City Opera for the chance to improve! More recently, she has performed as the second actor in An Oak Tree produced by A Public Fit, as Kimberly in Angry F*gsand as Popo in Clown Bar 2 at Majestic Repertory Theater, and as Marie Antoinette in The Revolutionists at Las Vegas Little Theater. The last time she was in a musical she played Logainne in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Las Vegas Little Theater, and she was last seen on the Spring Mountain Ranch stage in the ensemble of Young Frankenstein produced by Poor Richard’s Players. She has directed productions in town including The Valkyries recently produced by Vegas City Opera and The 1940’s Radio Hour this past December at Las Vegas Little Theater. She also spent a ton of time during the last few year including the pandemic co-producing and designing the Musical Theater Therapy productions at Las Vegas Little Theater where she is a member of the executive board. Stephen has been involved in musical theater for the past 50 years and is excited to bring the role of Sebastian into his repertoire of possibly unstable characters. He is a retired Visual Display Artist, having worked at Bloomingdale's, The Bellagio, and various other retail and furniture establishments. Stephen is an award winning Halloween Yard Haunter and Christmas Display Guru who will decorate your Christmas, Halloween or Holiday tree for a small fee or premium homemade baked goods, so you don't have too. He has been known to wear costumes when retrieving his mail or attending HOA meetings. Stephen has comically bungled his way across the stages of the San Francisco Lamplighters, Piedmont Light Opera, Contra Costa Civic Theater, Signature Productions, Huntsman Entertainment, Vegas City Opera and Super Summer Theater. His most memorable roles include: Major General Stanley (Pirates of Penzance), Grimsby (Little Mermaid), Hysterium (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Mr. Twimble (How to Succeed in Business), Merlin (Camelot), Drake (Annie), Henry Ford (Ragtime), and possibly the oldest Motel the Tailor on Record (Fiddler on the Roof). Stephen also sings tenor in the Green Valley Presbyterian Church chancel choir because Baritones lack the street cred of a Tenor. As always, thanks to AJK for his support and patience.
Miguel Alasco is a classically trained tenor. They studied with UNLV Opera Theater during their undergraduate years, and has performed with Vegas City Opera since 2017, appearing in shows such as L’Etoile, Pagliacci, Gianni Schicchi, as well as being a past member of the VCO Young Artist Program. They are excited to be returning for their fourth Super Summer Theatre production, previously appearing in The Man of La Mancha (2017, PS Productions), The Pirates of Penzance (2018, Vegas City Opera), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream Concert Spectacular (2019, The LAB LV.) Miguel dedicates this show to their mother, cheering on from above.
Rich is very excited to be returning to the Super Summer Theatre stage. This will be his 3rd production at the ranch. He was most recently seen as Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Concert Fantastic. Past musical credits include Shrek the Musical, Merrily We Roll Along, and Les Miserables. He would like to thank the production team for this opportunity and the talented cast and crew for making this summer so magical. Special shout out to his amazing circle of friends and their continued support. You guys don't even realize how much I love you. I'm truly lucky to have you all in my life. Holly Shaffer is a soprano based in Las Vegas who has appeared on numerous stages across the valley. Past credits include Mary understudy/ensemble in Mary Poppins (SST), Annie Crook in In the Minds Eye (Asylum theatre and Smiths center composers showcase), Vegas Valley Concerts (The Space), Musical Theatre Therapy (LVLT), and many more. They would like to thank their family and teachers for always supporting them, and the cast and crew for making this production such a dream come true!
Kelsey Lee is a Las Vegas native. As a child, her family did community theatre, and she caught the theatre bug. She received a BM in Voice from BYU-Idaho and an MM in Opera from the University of Oklahoma. Her favorite roles include Fiordiligi (Cosí fan tutte), Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffman) and the Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods). She is excited to be back in Las Vegas and performing with Vegas City Opera.
