Madelyn is delighted to return to Vegas City Opera, this time as the director for her first show with the company. Previously, she brought her unique blend of creativity and expertise to their productions of Don Giovanni as stage manager and Daughter of the Regiment as assistant director, contributing her passion and vision to each project.
A sought-after TEDx and speech coach, Madelyn has spent years empowering others to find their voices. She began her career as a K-12 theater and speech coach, where she directed student productions and led middle school choirs. Her own journey into the arts began as a vocal performance major, ultimately earning her a degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance from ASU, with a focus on theater. Since then, she’s gained diverse experience in theater, film, and television, and has even modeled in New York and Los Angeles. Her off-Broadway debut under Obie-winning director Lee Breuer in The Wrath of Khali was a transformative experience that deepened her love for storytelling.
Although Madelyn initially focused on directing for film, life led her to explore new paths within the arts. Now, she’s a passionate Argentine tango dancer, traveling to festivals across the country to connect with the tango community. Since relocating to Las Vegas last year, Madelynhas been grateful for the unwavering support of her partner, Kevin, and dedicates her work to her three amazing children, who she is immensely proud of and cherishes every day.
Luana DeVol is one of the world’s most successful dramatic sopranos, having sung major roles in the world’s major houses, including La Scala, Milan, Teatro de Liceu, Barcelona, the Wagner Festspiel, Bayreuth, Vienna Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich, Metropolitan Opera, New York among many others. She was twice named Opernwelt’s “Singer of the Year.” Since retiring from the stage, she gives Master Classes, maintains a private voice studio, and serves on the Panel of Experts for the New York-based “Career Bridges” for aspiring singers. She has been appointed to lead the American Wagner Project, a program which is part of the Dolora Zajick Institute for Young Dramatic Voices, and works with the Richard Wagner Society of Washington, D.C. in presenting Master Classes and Concerts. She is an adjudicator of voice competitions both in the US and abroad, such as Chairwoman of the Klaudia Taev International Voice Competition in Estonia. As General Director of Opera Las Vegas from 2014 to 2018 she produced Il Barbiere di Seviglia, Madama Butterfly, Carmen and Rigoletto. In July 2022 she coordinated the collaboration of the American Wagner Project with Michael Rossi’s Miami Music Festival in the production of Rigoletto as well as producing the festival’s opening concert. Most recently she is serving on the Board of Directors for the Las Vegas Sinfonietta.
Kayla Wilkens is delighted to return to Vegas City Opera for this collaboration with the Las Vegas Sinfonietta. Most recently, she’s appeared as Millie O’Brien in the US Tour of We’ll Meet Again: A New American Musical,Cinderella in R&H’s Cinderella with Vegas City Opera and Super Summer Theatre, Littler Zegler in Proving Up and Again & Again & Again with Opera Las Vegas, Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera and a portrayal of the many Queens of Try Me, Good King with Vegas City Opera in King & Queens, and in the Final Fantasy XIV Eorzean Symphony concert. Kayla is honored to have worked with Libby Larsen in concert for Try Me Good King during the 2011 Festival for the Twentieth Anniversary of the Founding of the Linfield Chamber Orchestra, and as the soprano soloist for the world premiere of Libby Larsen’s vocal orchestral work The Moabit Sonnets. www.kaylawilkens.com

Kurt Sedlmeir, a Lyric Baritone with a passion for the operatic art form, has dedicated his career to bringing powerful performances to the stage through operatic roles and modern chamber works. Residing in Las Vegas, Kurt graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Music in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. His journey has taken him beyond the borders of the United States, with advanced opera studies in Austria and Munich, Germany, where he refined his technique and deepened his appreciation for classical music traditions.
Kurt has been featured in numerous productions with UNLV Opera Theatre and Vegas City Opera, portraying a range of complex characters. His roles include The Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Masetto in Don Giovanni, and roles in Dialogues of the Carmelites. With Vegas City Opera, he has shone in standout performances as Hunding in Die Walküre, Benoit/Alcindoro in La Bohème, Escamillo in Carmen and The Mad King in Eight Songs for a Mad King
by Peter Maxwell Davies.His recent portrayal of Leporello in Don Giovanni (2024) captivated audiences with his blend of vocal strength and nuanced interpretation.

Eun Ah Roh is praised for her “vocal gymnastics and projection”, Lyric-Coloratura Soprano Dr. Eun Ah Roh made her debut in a fully staged production as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, a role she has gone on to perform with several other companies. Additional performances include portrayals of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, Voluptua in La Pizza con Funghi, Veronica in Dr. Miracle, and most recently as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with Vegas City Opera and Las Vegas Sinfonietta.. Dr. Roh has worked with New York Lyric Opera, Bethesda Summer Music Festival, Baekryeong Opera, S&A Opera, James Madison Opera, Mason Opera, Catholic University of America Opera, and Duquesne Opera. She performed as soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Handel’s Messiah. She has sung on the stages of Carnegie Halls in New York and Pittsburgh, the National Opera Center in New York, and various other venues in Korea such as Seoul Arts Center, Seoul Young-San Arts Center, Baekryeong Arts Center, and more. Most recently, she is the Grand prize winner of the USA Classical Hobbyists International Music Competition. Dr. Roh also received second place at the Concert International Virtuoso Voice Competition, won second place at the 6th Korean Vocal Competition, the winner of VANATS Voice Competition, alternative winner of Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition, and the winner of Duquesne Concerto Competition.
Dr. Roh received her Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in voice performance at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Apart from her degrees from the United States, she studied and performed in Italy, where she received Beniamino Gigli and Lorenzo de’ Medici Diploma. Previously, Dr. Roh served as an assistant professor of music at Northern Virginia Community College for six years. Currently, she is a professional artist at Vocal Artists Management Services (VAMS).
Gianni Matteo holds a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education. He has sung in the choruses of Daughter of the Regiment, Madame Butterfly, Tosca, and Elixir Of Love. Notable operatic roles include Don Ottavio in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" and Edwin in Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial By Jury". Thrilled to be back at Vegas City Opera in Fairy Queen, Gianni balances teaching elementary music and private voice and piano with captivating performances on the Las Vegas strip, including at Mayfair Supper Club and Don’t Tell Mama Piano Bar.
Hunter Rose Fowler (mezzo-soprano) is thrilled to be back at Vegas City Opera after her debut as Schwertleite in Wagner's Die Walküre. She performed in numerous operas during her time at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas including the title role of Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Public Opinion in Orpheus in the Underworld, and Sally in Die Fledermaus. During her undergraduate career she performed and studied Lieder at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. Summer of 2018, she performed the role of Mistress of the Novices in Suor Angelica in Varna, Bulgaria at the Varna International Music Academy, as well as both Third Lady and Third Boy in Die Zauberflöte at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Weimar, Germany.
Since completing her Master’s Degree, Hunter Rose has recorded two albums as lead soprano with Las Vegas’ Jazzmin Vocal Band, was featured as the alto in the quartet of UNLV Symphony Orchestra & Las Vegas Master Singers’ Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C, and has released her first original single called “White Lies,” a pop-electronic song with R&B influences. She is performing a solo show featuring her husband Gary Fowler at Gatsby’s Supper Club at Gambit Henderson Friday April 14th.
Ginger is always happy to jump in to a production as needed. As the Executive Director of Vegas City Opera it is not the first time nor will it be the last. "It is always fun to get to do something unexpected and my love for Purcell runs deep!" Ginger's first baroque opera was in her Sophomore year at Portland State University as the 2nd Woman in Dido and Aeneas (by Purcell).
JoDee Turner is from California, where as a youth she won several sewing awards through 4-H programs and during High School. After making her own wedding dress, she happily moved onto making costumes for her two children frequently winning contests with these creations. She now lives in Las Vegas working as Administrative Support for Casino Operations at Resorts World, thrives as a new grandma and is elated to get to put her sewing skills to work once again for this magical production of The Fairy Queen.
